Piece's Description
Piece's Description
“Structure reveals itself through rhythm — a balance of form, void, and quiet repetition.”
Guided by the wabi-sabi philosophy, Le Cadre explores the relationship between structure and space through a composed arrangement of openings. Its vertical form is defined by a sequence of asymmetrical compartments, creating a rhythm that feels both architectural and calm.
Crafted from pine wood and veneer, its soft matte surface allows the geometry to remain the focus. With vertical proportions — 75 × 40 × 130 cm — it functions as a bookshelf and a sculptural composition, where objects, books, and empty space interact naturally.

Materials & Craftsmanship
Materials
Crafted from pine wood with a veneer finish, chosen for its stability and smooth surface quality. The exterior is treated with a matte coating, creating a soft, mineral-like appearance that reduces visual noise and emphasizes the structure.
Craftsmanship
The structure is built using panel construction with internal reinforcement, ensuring stability while maintaining clean surfaces.
The compartments are formed through precision CNC shaping, then refined with manual sanding and edge softening to create smooth transitions between volumes.
A layered coating and hand-finishing process ensures a consistent tone while preserving subtle variations in depth.
